Revisit and recycle, bring out the past and deepest feelings to move on
Let Go
•August 28, 2007 • Leave a CommentAfter returning from the Reading Festival, I have gained a new influence from the visual and audio live experiance that is Nine Inch Nails. Alot of what was heard and seen was a part of the idea of what I had wanted for Magna-Opus , unaware that it had already been done to a greater extent, it has now made me want to push and expand furthur whilst taking in what I have got from my experiance.
Also along side I have taken on a commission to create a Horror website for a Dracula author. In order to create I am putting myself into a state of mind suitable to that which will create and inspire the websites design.
What we do can only then be used for the main intention

Understanding
•July 31, 2007 • Leave a CommentThe project has been on the go for a while now, exploring and creating new musical ideas. But where we have concentrated on just the audio, we have lost track on our original focus.
But is it just about music anyway? Do we actually want to create a form of music where you can hum the tune to yourself, or do we want to create a sense of atmosphere to freak the shit out of you, or take you on a visual journey provoking various responses and feelings…
Something we need to get back and focus on
The Carrier
•June 1, 2007 • Leave a CommentI caught a train from Bristol back home to Cardiff yesterday. The weather was quite miserable and getting worse as the train got closer to the channel. I was next to a window, facing backwards, laptop to hand and headphones quietly playing Lustmords remix of parabola.
As i listened, the mood sank low and made me feel lonely. Then there was this surreal feeling of dread as i gazed out of the window at the linear patterns that travelled along with me and the heavy sky sat in the backdrop.
But then i remembered, on my way to Bristol, I listened to an Einaudi collection. And felt incredibly relaxed, despite the weather.

Trains are great carriers of feelings.
A Bad Crop
•April 29, 2007 • Leave a CommentIf you grow a tomato vine in a ‘foreign’ grounding, your not always gonna get a bad looking crop. Saying this, the proof is in the pudding. Funny how kids can be with things like that mind. They seem to notice a difference better then adults (cries of “its not the right kind” echo in attics).
Her Death Was Peace

Inspiration:
MUSE frontman MATT BELLAMY would prefer to die by drowning when his eventual demise comes about, because it would be “calming”. After the TIME IS RUNNING OUT singer had a near death experience when his band’s plane caught fire on the runway in 2000, he admits he would like to depart the earth is a more relaxing way. Bellamy, 28, says, “If I had a choice of a way to go it would be drowning. I’ve heard it’s quite relaxing. “Apparently there are a few seconds of panic when your lungs fill with water but once it’s in there you just chill out. “You can sit on the bottom and go ‘Hey this is cool’ and gradually fall asleep. It sounds like a calm way to go – just floating around, it sounds a little bit trippy. “Who told me drowning was calming? Er, my mum did for some reason.”

A piece by surreal artist, Chet Zar (www.chetzar.com). I’m posting it because i don’t like it. Triggers a lot of discomfort.
